History

Established in 2001 by its current CEO, Erich de la Fuente, EDF Communications was founded as a result of the growing demand in the market for boutique strategic communications/public affairs firms that could provide high-level counseling and personalized service, while at the same time having the geographical reach to direct and execute programs internationally.

An award winning firm, certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration, EDF’s initial projects and clients were primarily U.S. based with their target audiences being either in Latin America or the U.S. Hispanic market. Today, EDF has led projects in a variety of regions around the world, including Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as continuing its work in Latin America and the U.S.

Originally established in Miami, where we still maintain our headquarters, we also have offices in Washington, D.C.; New York; Buenos Aires (Argentina); São Paulo (Brazil); Bogota (Colombia); Mexico City (Mexico); and Kiev (Ukraine), as well as partners throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe.
